With the majority of the discussion on “Game of Thrones” Season 6 focused on Jon Snow, producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss addressed one major theory about the character in a recent interview The theory is related to the eyes of the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch in the finale episode of last season.

[Spoiler alert]

The finale episode of Season 5 showed Jon Snow (Kit Harington) being brutally stabbed and the scene ended with him lying in the snow in a pool of blood. The final shot of the scene was a close-up of Jon Snow’s face. Some fans believe that the colour of his eyes slowly changed and they took it as a clue that the scene teases his fate.

In an interview with Variety, Benioff admitted that many of the fans were spending time looking at his eyes, thinking that he is not dead. The producer wanted to say what they spent a lot of time on, but was interjected by Weiss who said that they spent a lot of money on Jon Snow’s eyes.

The producers’ comments suggest that they wanted fans to speculate about Jon Snow after the death scene. However the report says that the theory about Jon Snows eyes may not reveal much about his fate in “Game of Thrones” Season 6. “ If your Jon Snow theory rests on whether or not his eyes are fully dilated, think again,” the report states.

The fans can only wait and watch the show to find out whether Jon Snow will return and how he will return. A popular theory at the moment is that he will be resurrected, thanks to the magic of the Red God R’hllor.

The producers also talked about “Game of Thrones” Season 6 overtaking “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series. They said that it was both “exciting” and “a bit terrifying” to continue the story before the next book in the series is released.
