Former NFL cheerleader Molly Shattuck was arraigned on Wednesday in Delaware after charges of having sex with a 15-year-old boy. and was released on a $84,000 bond. The 47-year-old Shattuck, who in 2005 became the oldest NFL cheerleader with the Baltimore Ravens, pleaded not guilty after a grand jury indicted Shattuck on two counts of third-degree rape, four counts of unlawful sexual contact and three counts of providing alcohol to minors.

WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team, an investigative team for a Baltimore-based news channel and website, was one of the first news outlets to report about the case. According to the website, Shattuck surrendered herself on Wednesday to the Sussex County Superior Court where she posted the bail for release and she was also “ordered to have no contact with any minors with the exception of her own children.”

The report also provided the sordid details from documents the news team gathered from official court filings. One accused Shattuck of allegedly performing oral sex on the supposed victim and that she even offered to have sex with her— an option the 15-year-old did not take. Shattuck’s next court appearance is set on Dec. 15 and defence attorney Eugene Maurer admitted that his client is having difficulty in facing the said accusations.

“Like anybody who would be charged with an offense of this nature, she’s quite distraught and dealing with it the best she can,” Maurer said. “Obviously, she’s very upset about it.”

The relationship between the 47-year-old Shattuck, who has three children, and the unnamed 15-year-old began in May 2014. According to reports, it started when Shattuck saw the 15-year-old boy’s picture on social media site Instagram and she pursued the boy by getting his cell phone number.

"Information regarding alleged inappropriate behavior by a current parent toward a McDonogh student was brought to my attention on September 24. I immediately reported the allegations to the Baltimore County Police Department, and the matter continues to be under the jurisdiction of law enforcement officials." McDonogh School Headmaster Charles W. Britton stated in a letter to their students' parents. McDonogh School is where Shattuck's supposed victim is attending school.
