Doomsday prophets never seem to run out of celestial event to point to as reason to believe the world would soon end. After nothing happened on Sept 27 when the blood moon coincided with the lunar eclipse, another prediction circulating in the Internet warns of the Earth colliding with a rogue planet in December 2015.

The Telegraph cites an article in Beforeitsnews that identifies that planet during the ancient times as Nibiru. The portal, known for its reportage on apocalyptic predictions, says that planet is also known as The Destroyer, Wormwood, The Frightener, The Terrible Comet and Hercules.

Conspiracy theorists even claim that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, or NASA, knew of Niburu which is allegedly hiding behind Pluto that the space agency allegedly discovered while they were studying the impact of gravitation on extreme trans-Neptunian objects, or ETNOs, which refers to a group of space bodies that orbit the solar system beyond planet Neptune. NASA allegedly included Nibiru in a new scientific study published in 2014, reports Techworm.

A check with NASA’s Web site says that in March 2004, astronomers discovered a planet-like transneptunian object that was orbiting the Sun at an extreme distance. The object was renamed Sedna after an Inuit goddess who lives at the bottom of the Arctic Ocean. The description did not match Nibiru.

Besides NASA insiders, Pentagon, the CIA and even the Vatican is reportedly aware that Nibiru is advancing toward the Earth but these institutions prefer to keep the public in the dark.

That planet, according to doomsday theorists, is the 10th planet of the solar system and passes the Earth on a 3,600-year cycle. They claim the planet is visible as a blob next to the sun. A Nancy Lieder allegedly discovered the planet in 1995. Lieder claims to have been contacted by aliens from the Zeta Reticuli star system through an implant in her brain.

Lieder, who even has a Twitter account with the handle @NancyLieder1, was identified as emissary of the Zeta. She allegedly met the Zetas in the woods of her grandparent’s homestead. In 1999, she resigned from her job in California and returned to her place of birth, Wisconsin, to serve as the contactee of the aliens in relaying information to earthlings.

The group BeforeItsNews is behind Signs of the End videos posted on YouTube showing frightening scenarios such as Washington DC being bombed and planes bursting in flames. Another video by BPEarthWatch cited biblical verses warning of apocalypse, particularly the Seventh Bowl of Wrath.

The Telegraph emphasises that these warnings are not backed by conventional science and adds to the growing list of end-of-the world scenarios in the last few years that failed to materialise.
