Former "Harry Potter" star revealed in his recent interviews that he has always been paranoid of failure since he reached the peak of playing the successful wizard boy and if only he could make the character disappear, he will eradicate it.

For most, it can be really tough to watch the actor on the screen without thinking of him as Harry Potter. However, Mirror UK reports that the young star is ever persevering to leave the shadow behind of the franchise he has done for a long time. He is hoping that his latest movie, "Kill Your Darlings" will help him with his career's goals.

Radcliffe's new movie will be released on the big screen by Oct. 16 and tells the story of a young writer that goes through getting to know himself better through a deep sexual awakening. It is set during the 1940s scenario of New York.

With Daily Mail UK, he shared that he was paranoid that no one would ever believe in his acting skills since what most think is that his success for the "Harry Potter" franchise was instant. He has reportedly earned about £50m from the hit movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's books.

As part of his hard work to get out of his usual Harry Potter shell, he went to acting in stage dramas and even try film roles that can be deemed "controversial" and unlikely of his image to portray. Radcliffe has also gone through a lot of personal struggles which he luckily managed to emerge from.

He lived on his own at the young age of 17 and suffered from severe drinking problems. Now, even when he has fully recovered, he admits that he could not help but tell himself over and over that he's "going to fail."

Aside from Daniel Radcliffe, other "Harry Potter" stars complain about the stigma that the film series has dealt on them. Emma Watson said there came a point when she "was fed up" with each part of her life dominated by the franchise's shooting schedule while Rupert Grint described the experience as "quite suffocating" as it neared the end.
