Courteney Cox has posted a sweet tribute for her "wise" 17-year-old daughter.

Cox and David Arquette's daughter, Coco Arquette, turned 17 Sunday. In honor of her little girl's special day, the "Friends" alum shared a series of throwback photos on Instagram as well as an adorable video featuring a much younger Coco.

"Happy 17th birthday to my strong, sensitive, creative, loving, soulful, beautiful, talented, and wise Coco. I love you so much," Cox wrote in the caption.

The first snapshot in the slideshow showed Cox's daughter as a baby, wearing a pink puffy jacket, a wool beanie and a big smile, as the actress held her in her arms.

A slightly older Coco is featured in another picture belting her heart out on a karaoke machine, while a third photo showed a school-aged Coco in a mermaid costume. The final image appeared to be a current photo of her daughter.

Many of Cox's followers and fellow celebrities flocked to her post and left sweet messages for the birthday girl.

"Aaw, Happy Birthday, sweet Coco," Tan France commented. "Happy Birthday Coco!" singer Edei wrote.

"Love you coco! Happy birthday sweetheart," Jennifer Meyer added.

"All right. She can slow down now," actor Garret Dillahunt wrote.

Coco's dad also shared a number of posts commemorating his daughter's birthday, including a recent snap of her posing in a grassy field and a throwback video of the birthday girl as a toddler.

"I love you @cocoarquette," Arquette wrote.

Last year, Cox and Coco talked about the actress' pregnancy journey in an episode of "9 Months With Courteney Cox" Season 2. In the Facebook Watch series, they focused on couples who have endured a variety of pregnancy struggles and subsequent successes.

In one episode, Coco asked her mom to "describe your pregnancy journey with me in three words," to which the actress replied, "Exciting, emotional, great."

Coco also asked her mom what her favorite food was when she was expecting. The "Scream" star revealed that she loved "cottage cheese and tomato," which prompted Coco to add, "That's disgusting."

Cox previously shared that she suffered several miscarriages before she successfully conceived Coco. She conceived her through in vitro fertilization (IVF) with her ex-husband.

"I get pregnant pretty easily, but I have a hard time keeping them," Cox told People in 2003, adding that every time she had a miscarriage, she and Arquette would bounce back quickly and try it again.

Arquette and Cox split in 2010. Last year, he said that he and Cox still communicate for their daughter.

"We’re co-parents to our daughter who’s 16, so we have a really great relationship," he said.
