The first pictures of Christina Aguilera's baby, Summer Rain, are out. The “Genie in a Bottle” singer, who gave birth to a baby girl in August 2014, told a magazine in a recent interview that she was “speechless” when she saw her baby for the first time. But the magazine that published Summer Rain's picture is blasted for photoshopping the image to enhance the baby's features.

The 34-year-old new mum told People magazine that she felt a spiritual connection with her baby as soon as she held her in her arms for the first time. She also told the magazine she would want Summer to be surrounded by love and feel safe while growing up. The songstress said she did not get enough love as a child. “That's something I didn't have when I was young and something I have been very vocal about providing for my children,” Christina is quoted as saying by People. She also praised her baby's blue eyes and called her “Zen like.”

However, the picture of Christina's baby on People magazine's cover page has sparked controversy as may people feel it has been photoshopped. The picture shows Christina holding her smiling 6-month-old baby in front of her face as she kiss her affectionately. The baby is wearing a pink cap and has a beautiful smile on her face. But one look at the picture makes the viewers feel something is not right.

There are many websites who believe that the baby's eyes do not have a natural look and she looks like a “plastic doll.” “Does Christina Aguilera know she gave birth to a fake baby?” asks Madeleine Davies from Jezebel. The writer feels the baby is “not real” and Americans should protest against the media's “unrealistic beauty standards for babies.” She also joked the baby has been hired from the makers of “American Sniper,” who too used a “fake baby” in one of their scenes.

Nic Holland, a writer from another website Take 40 said the photoshop job done to the baby's face “is the stuff of nightmares.” Another writer Heather Cichowski from The Gloss believes “there was some Photoshop involved” to enhance the colour of baby Summer's eyes. But she also adds her eyes must be “gorgeous” without the photoshop effect, too.
