"Castle" Season 7, Episode 11 airs in 2015, which means there is no new episode of the ABC series this week. Episode 10 presents a big twist, and fans will have to wait longer than usual to see what happens next. Meanwhile, Stana Katic has recently dished her thoughts on the series ending, just when some finale seeds seem to be spurting in the show.

Spoiler alert: This review contains Castle Season 7 spoilers. Read at your own risk if you have not watched the most recent episodes.

"Castle" has closed a couple of books in the past six seasons. One of the biggest storylines the showrunners have concluded is the murder of Kate Beckett's (Stana Katic) mother. Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Kate have become husband and wife in Castle Season 7, Episode 6 ("The Time Of Our Lives").

There is one overarching mystery in the current season, though: Why did Rick Castle vanish for two months? To be more specific, why did Rick wish for his memory to be altered? This kind of mystery should not last for more than one season, but creator Andrew W. Marlowe and new showrunner David Amann have certain plans for Castle Season 7.

Both Marlowe and Amann have expressed hopes that the new developing mythology in Castle Season 7 will reveal more interesting stories about the titular character. Amann recently told TV Line in an interview that there will be more about Castle's disappearance after Episode 10.

The question is, will the revelations take the series to another level, or will it bring the show to a series ending?

The TV Line interview hinted that the disappearance story could be as "dark" as the Johanna Beckett story, which spanned several seasons. One could only assume that Castle Season 7 is going to be very complicated. As such, some viewers fear the series might get boring in another long journey to the answers. Stana Katic reacts to this line of thinking in a separate TV Line interview.

"If the character is complete, if there is nowhere else to go creatively, then I think it's better to stop when you're on top, because I admire the way that they did that with The Wire, you know?" The actress said, hinting a wait-and-see stance on plans after Castle Season 7.

Answering some very important questions about the titular character is a good way to cap a series. The manner by which these answers are revealed should be so compelling that it would be a crime against television art to not go for another season. Otherwise, Castle Season 7 could very well be the final season of the ABC procedural dramedy.

When Castle Season 7, Episode 11 airs, viewers expect to see how Rick and Kate would continue working together after Rick was asked to refrain from working at NYPD. Perhaps there will be more of Henry Jenkins in the same episode.
