The "Castle" Season 7 premiere is still about three months away, so avid fans of the ABC series are waiting for news and updates to tide them over. Fortunately, Castle stars Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic are often on Twitter, engaging fans and showing a photo of "two dorks in Florence." Stana's film co-star (the other "dork"), Brett Dalton, is also around to give the crime dramedy -- and his own ABC series -- a shout-out.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains some spoilers on Castle Season 7. Updates are rather on the mild side, though.

Castle's Kate Beckett is in a state of utter shock and devastation at the end of Castle Season 6. In real life, the actress playing the role is having a great time in Italy, filming an indie movie. On Twitter, Stana Katic thanks "all the people in Italy that are making this indie a spectacular experience."

Stana Katic stars with Brett Dalton in "The Tourist," in which Brett plays "a heartbroken former college football star." They seem to have flown to Italy after Stana finished filming Castle Season 6, at which point she took a Twitter break.

Stana and Brett, both stars in an ABC series, seem to be having fun together. Brett even gives both their shows a shout-out in a recent social media post. Imagine Hydra attacking a castle.

"Watch out [Stana Katic]. Hydra's storming the Castle!" Brett captions their photo on WhoSay. Stana tweets the photo and calls the two of them "two dorks in Florence." (Hydra is a villainous organisation in ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." where Brett plays Agent Ward. Some fans are now saying Castle Season 7 would certainly be interesting if Brett would guest star in Castle.)

Meanwhile, Nathan Fillion is sounding a bit like Rick Castle on Twitter. Just take this tweet reply, for instance:

"@Lolololova: @NathanFillion// more ppl die by falling coconuts than shark attacks" Yes, but coconuts don't haunt my dreams.

Castle Season 7 Spoilers: No Time Jump, No Bracken [Yet]

"Viewers will witness the immediate fallout from Rick's fiery car wreck" in the premiere of Castle Season 7, TVLine.com reported. Citing series creator Andrew W. Marlowe as its source, the TV entertainment site confirmed fans will be taken back to the final moments of Castle Season 6.

So, who wants to kill Rick Castle -- is it Senator Bracken? This is one of the most popular questions in social media and forum sites discussing Castle Season 7. Mr Marlowe answers this in the most straightforward manner possible.

"The Bracken arc is pretty much over," Marlowe told TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich, without completely dismissing that the evil senator could still appear in Castle Season 7.

Castle Season 7 is widely expected to premiere on ABC between mid-September and mid-October 2014. The show's avid fans could cope with "Cas-kett" separation anxiety by checking Twitter for the latest updates from Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic.
