It is almost time for "Castle" to return for its new season, Season 7. In the last season finale, Castle and Beckett were set to get married but the groom never arrived at the wedding venue. Beckett received a shocking call. She arrived at an accident site, wearing her wedding gown, and saw Castle's car in a ravine, engulfed in flames. Castle was nowhere to be seen and it was being assumed that he died in the accident. The new season is expected to reveal new secrets about Castle [he is not dead], which is likely to cause a friction between him and Beckett. What would have happened if Castle and Beckett had never met? That is the question that the episode 6 of the new season is going to explore.

Jon Huertas, who plays Esposito in the show, told TV Line that "the first couple [episodes] can't bring too much comedy. But this 'alternate universe' is classic "Castle," where you mix a great procedural crime with comedy."

The actor said to TV Line that the episode will feature "a completely different world," adding, "It's a really fun episode, and people are really going to enjoy it. It's one of those episodes where you have to laugh."

"Castle" Season 7 is scheduled to premiere on ABC on Monday, Sept. 29 2014. The Season 7 is a new beginning for the show, as it introduces a new mythology that revolves around Castle. "Driven" is the title of the premiere episode, which has been written by David Amann, the new showrunner of the show, and Rob Bowman has directed the episode. The opening episode will pick up right where the Season 6 finale left off. It will put Beckett "through the toughest case of her career." There is a "significant" time jump at some point in the episode, and it will take some time before what happened to Castle is revealed.

In addition to the regular cast members of "Castle," "Driven" will also feature several guest stars. It stars Maya Stojan as Tory Ellis, Ryan Sands as Sgt. Taggert, Jon Lindstrom as Agent Connors, Don Stark as Vincent "The Scar" Cardano, Matt Letscher as Henry Jenkins, according to the synopsis of the episode.

Error Update: By mistake the upcoming Season 7 of "Castle" was written as Season 6 in the headline as well as in the article. It has been corrected now.
