On Monday night, "Castle" returns with Season 7. The premiere episode is titled "Driven." The new season opens with the disappearance of Rick Castle. It picks up where it left off last season. Kate Beckett, still in her wedding gown, sees that Castle's body is not inside his burned out car. According to the extended sneak peek of the opening scene, Ryan and Esposito start the initial investigation, as Beckett goes with Martha and Alexis to change her wedding dress. After their initial investigation, Ryan and Esposito come to the conclusion that Castle was grabbed and taken away by two people.

ABC has also released the sneak peek of a newspaper report. The headline of this 'The abc Times' report is "Author Richard Castle Reportedly Missing." Here are the first two paragraphs of the report:

"In late breaking news, Richard Castle, the famed New York City mystery author, is now himself at the center of a mystery worthy of a plot from one of his novels.

Just one hour ago, the author's car was discovered ablaze, after having crashed in a ravine a short distance from his home. Early reports indicate that he was on his way to his wedding to NYPD detective Katherine Beckett which was to be held at the Hamptons estate."

The report mentions that a black SUV was seen speeding-off before the crash was reported. It also says that the investigators suspect that Castle is a victim of foul play and that he has been abducted. According to the report, William Bracken and 3XK are the two main suspects.

Meanwhile, the other sneak peek indicates that Castle and his so called abductors contacted Beckett. She can be seen telling Ryan and Esposito that Castle was normal. This makes sense as Nathan Fillion, who plays Castle in the show, said in an interview to Entertainment Weekly: "I think we will find that Castle is exactly where he would like to be. ... He's just gotten away with so much for so long that he kind of lives in a wonderful, 'Hey, life is good' kind of mentality. I think we're going to find him there."

"Castle" Season 7 is set to introduce a new mythology that is related to Castle's past. It is expected that new secrets about him are going to be revealed.
