Starz has released a new video that shows a scene from “Black Sails” Season 3 episode 6. The video shows that a pirate captain no longer believes in Nassau and is happy to have left it behind, with no intentions of going back.

[Spoiler alert]

Flint (Toby Stephens) is on a mission to retake Nassau from the British. But, he doesn’t realise that Vane (Zach McGowan) has changed since the last time the two were together. A new video clip from the next episode shows the interaction between the two characters.

Sitting on a beach, Flint reminds Vane of the deal they made to protect Nassau. Vane tells his fellow pirate captain that he was not there when Woodes Rogers (Luke Roberts) and his fleet arrived. The heads of Nassau had to witness the pirates of the island turn on them, to earn the ransom money. This happened despite the fact that the pirates shared in the wealth of the gold from Urca de Lima.

Flint agrees that he was not there, but points out that if he was there he would have ensured that the island was secured and they all fought to protect it. Vane, however, appears to have no intention of going back to Nassau in “Black Sails” Season 3.

“Nassau is dead. Doesn’t deserve anything else from me...or the men on this beach. We are finally free from it. And I see no reason to change that,” Vane tells Flint in the video. In the end, Flint will have to battle Blackbeard (Ray Stevenson) for the control of the fleet in the next episode.

A previously released trailer of “Black Sails” Season 3 episode 6 shows a pistol duel between Flint and Blackbeard. The fleet is an important part of Flint’s plan to capture Nassau, as he wants to demonstrate to the world what they can achieve when former slaves and pirates join hands to take on the British.
