The Season 2 of "The Bachelor Australia" saw Blake Garvey getting down on his one knee and proposing marriage to Sam Frost. It was a fairytale ending. But, the drama that has unfolded after the telecast of the Season 2 finale has marred that fairytale ending. Blake met Sam a few days before the telecast of the Season finale episode to pull the plug on their engagement. He also wrote a letter to Louise, which she received before the airing of final episode, expressing his feelings for her. The letter won Louise's heart and now she is moving to Perth to start her relationship with Blake.

Louise and Blake first confirmed the rumours that they are a couple in an exclusive interview to Woman's Day magazine. Soon after the publishing of that interview, the couple spoke to Carrie Bickmore in Thailand for "The Project." Talking about how Blake was able to woo her after saying goodbye to her in the penultimate episode, Louise said to Bickmore that by writing to her a "very beautiful" and a "very heartfelt" letter about what happened. Also, she said that she would not be true to herself if she didn't give it one last try.

On the show, Louise, who was called the Stepford girl by the other bachelorettes, admitted that she is in love with Blake and that she would always love him. On their last date on the show, Louise said "I love you" to Blake in Afrikaans. Louise said to Bickmore that she watched the finale knowing how Blake felt for her. Also, she said, "Black felt that he was protecting me by sending me home in that episode." Louise said that Blake has always been kind, respectful and caring towards her. "He has been my protector."

Blake does not feel that he is rushing into things again. He said to Bickmore, "This is about as well paced as it's been over the past six months. I mean we built up a relationship over the four months and that love was there; what was there when the show ended didn't die away." He said that the feelings have only grown that they would like move forward. "There is a love story here. There is a beautiful love story here," Blake said.
