Australia's securities watchdog on Wednesday pledges continues support to companies and office holders in flood affected areas throughout Queensland who may be experiencing difficulties with lodgements, notifications and fee payments.

Despite unavoidable disruptions to the hours of operation of the Brisbane Office and Service Centres over the next few days, the Australia Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has taken immediate steps to ensure the continued availability of services for Queensland businesses and residents. Our Client Contact Centre team (1300 300 630) is available from 7am to 7pm (Qld time) or 8am to 8pm (EDST) to assist with enquiries.

Brisbane residents who are concerned about lodging a document or paying a fee are urged to contact ASIC's Client Contact Centre on 1300 300 630 or fax (03) 5177 3999.

Lodgements may also continue to be made online via ASIC's website. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Alternatively, documents can be sent by post
to: ASIC, PO Box 4000, Gippsland Mail Centre, Victoria, 3841.

'Our thoughts are with our Brisbane colleagues and the wider Queensland community during this difficult time', said Dr Pamela Hanrahan, ASIC's Regional Commissioner for Queensland.

ASIC's Brisbane CBD service centre is currently closed.
