Fans who could hardly wait for the Arrow Season 3 premiere comfort themselves with news from Stephen Amell, who portrays Oliver Queen aka The Arrow himself.

One of the Arrow Season 3 set photos Amell posted on Facebook reveals - at least the fans think they know what it means - the fate of Detective Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) and his daughter Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy). Click here to see the behind-the-scenes photo. (Note the caption.)

"Fantastic first day with @BrandonJRouth -- it's a new and exciting layer in the #Arrow Universe," Stephen Amell tweeted Tuesday. Amell is not exactly asking the viewers to forget the DC Comics Universe, in which Green Arrow is a popular character. He seems to imply, however, that fans will find the telly version of Oliver Queen's universe a bit too different (perhaps more than ever) in Arrow Season 3.

For instance, Brandon Routh, who portrayed DC Comics' Clark Kent in "Superman Returns" (2006), is stepping into Oliver Queen's world as his potential rival for Felicity's affection in Arrow Season 3. See more details on Routh's role in Arrow in the following link:

Emmy Snubs 'Arrow' Stunts Again!

"Instead of getting mad that Arrow wasn't even nominated for Outstanding Stunt Coordination at this years (sic) Emmys, I think we'll just go on producing the best action on television for the third consecutive year," Stephen Amell aired his sentiment on his Facebook page. Some fans argue that Arrow Season 2 is has far more captivating stunts than NBC's "Grimm," which is one of the nominees.

The Arrow Season 3 premiere is called, "The Calm." Fans speculate that this "calm" relates to the defeat of Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke (Manu Bennett). However, the expression "the calm before the storm" could not be far from an avid viewer's mind.

Arrow Season 3 premieres on The CW on Oct. 8, according to this report on hitflix.com.
