Arrow Season 3 Filming, Spoilers: Stephen Amell Teases Fans, Superman Actor Brandon Routh in Casting Updates, Olicity Shake-Up Likely

"Arrow" Season 3 filming is set to kick off soon, and "Superman" actor Brandon Routh is in as The Atom. Olicity fans should brace themselves.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains Arrow Season 3 spoilers for the fans of Olicity (Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak). There is a new love triangle in The CW's TV adaptation of the DC Comics' Green Arrow.

The Arrow/Oliver Queen himself, Stephen Amell, announced on Facebook what Arrow Season 3, Episode 1 would be called: "The Calm." A storm is coming, fans are almost certain. On Twitter, Amell also welcomed the show's "newest cast member."

The caption-less script cover photo of the Arrow Season 3 premiere has so far gathered nearly 29,000 "Likes" on Stephen Amell's Facebook page. This episode airs Oct. 8, according to a TV Line report.

TV Line also reported Brandon Routh, also known as Clark Kent in Superman Returns (2006), is playing "the recurring role of Ray Palmer, aka DC superhero The Atom." Olicity fans should know that Routh's Ray Palmer "will be a love interest for Felicity," which implies a shake-up in the Oliver-Felicity dynamic.

In a report, Deadline wrote Ray Palmer would be seen in as many as 14 episodes, as he plays "an unexpected role in the lives of Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards).

Felicity Smoak has been romantically involved with Barry Allen aka The Flash (Grant Gustin), even as he's still in coma in Central City. Oliver Queen falsely confesses his love for Felicity in order to distract Deathstroke in the Arrow Season 2 finale. Seeing Felicity share her life with a new guy would be interesting for many Olicity fans.

As the Arrow Season 3 filming makes progress in the coming weeks, fans will learn more spoilers on what happens next to Oliver Queen, the new Black Canary (Katie Cassidy), John Diggle/Dig (David Ramsey), Roy Harper/Red Arrow (Colton Haynes), Thea Queen/Speedy (Willa Holland), and Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer (John Barrowman).

Devon Aoki, Karl Yune, and Peter Stormare are also appearing in Arrow Season 3, TV Line reported. Those who are looking forward to seeing more of Harley Quinn should check out the Twitter page of Cassidy Alexa, who is said to be playing the much-anticipated DC Comics character.
