The Google Nexus 9 tablet was announced on Nov 3. The tablet comes preloaded with the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. When Nexus 9 arrived, it became the first device to feature the Android L OS. Many Nexus device users expected that their devices would receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on the Nov. 3. However, the Android Lollipop release for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 has been delayed until Nov. 12. The Google Nexus 6 phablet is going to release on Nov. 12.

According to Android Police, the reason behind the delay is that the Android Lollipop software has Wi-Fi and battery life issues and the developers want to ensure that the final product which arrives on Nov. 12 lives up to the expectations of the users. The delayed arrival will probably fix the bugs that will make the new Android L built to function seamlessly on older Nexus devices. Also, the Gospel Herald claims that the Google might be just wanting to release the new Android build on all the Nexus devices simultaneously.

Google began with the Nexus 9 preorder in the United States in the previous week and within 24 hours, the handset was completely sold out. Google has confirmed that new stocks are on the way. According to PhoneArena, previous reports suggested all the existing Nexus devices like the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 would receive the Android L update when the Nexus the Android L update when the Google Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 were made available for purchase. However, now Google has delayed the release of the Android Lollipop for all the other Nexus devices. The new release date has been set to Nov 12.

In the U.K., the Google Nexus 6 preorders have not started. It was suppose to begin on Nov. 3 but it has been postponed to Nov. 18. The Google Nexus 9 preorders in the U.K. have already started through Google Play Store and Amazon. At the moment, the 32 GB version which is priced at 399 pounds is currently unavailable through Google Play Store.
