Ryan Murphy, co-creator of "American Horror Story," has confirmed that Halloween is a two-parter in "American Horror Story-Freak Show." Wes Bentley's character may have something major to do in these two episodes of Halloween. The actor has a multi-episode arc in Season 4 of the FX's horror anthology series.

The title of the Halloween episodes are "Edward Mordrake, Pt. 1" (scheduled air date Oct. 15) and "Edward Mordrake, Pt. 2" (scheduled air date Oct. 29). The name of Wes Bentley's character is Edward Mordrake.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW), Murphy said that Bentley is playing a "mythical creature." Calling this character a "very famous horror myth," the co-creator said that he is a man with two faces. One is the normal face and the other face on the back is the evil one.

Murphy said to EW that the face on the back "whispers evil thing," forcing the normal face to "commit horrible crimes." Murphy added: "He torments everybody. The carnies back in the day had a very specific superstition about the character of Edward Mordrake. It's very much like a Bloody Mary sort of thing. It's in that realm."

Previously, TV Line has reported that Wes' character is a "dark tormentor from Kathy Bates' past who is hell-bent on revenge." Kathy Bates is playing Ethel Darling, the much talked about bearded woman. She can be called the right hand woman or the henchwoman of Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange), the German ex-pat who is running the freaky circus show. In his interview with EW, Murphy also revealed details about Ethel's past. She was a circus star in the 20s and 30s, and after the birth of her child, Ethel became low in spirits and took to drinking. Murphy said that it is Elsa who rescued Ethel from the miserable, drunkard life and thus she is "indebted" to Elsa and she would do anything for her.

"Monsters Among Us" is the title of the premiere episode, which is scheduled to air on Oct. 08. "Massacres and Matinees" is the title of episode 2.
