Bryan Singer is an avid Instagram user and it’s usually through this social media app that he updates fans on the production of “X-Men: Apocalypse.” Recently, the director shared a set photo where his caption hints of a possible apocalyptic scene happening in the sequel. The same image also confirms the familial relationship between two of the film’s characters, Havoc and Cyclops.

Bryan Singer continues to give fans a glimpse into the film’s production. This time he takes viewers to a scene that hints of the terror Apocalypse may bring in the sequel. The director shared a still from the set of “X-Men: Apocalypse” on his Instagram page on Tuesday, May 5, where part of the photo’s caption reads “the end of the world.”

Singer’s “end of the world” caption clearly suggests Oscar Isaac’s importance in the film as he plays the titular role of Apocalypse. Isaac once teased what fans can expect from the main villain in X-Men: Apocalypse.” The actor hinted of his character’s great power when he likened the mutant with God during an interview with Cinema Blend. The idea of having the power to cause the end of times is supposedly not something a mere mutant can do. But that it has to be done by someone or something with even greater power.

“He can be anything, he can do anything – so those aspects… I think of the idea of the first mutant and the idea that he wouldn’t be called a mutant back then. He would be a god on Earth,” Isaac said.

Something terrifying and catastrophic may happen in 1983, where the film's timeline is set. According to Screenrant, the public reveal of the mutants in “Days of Future Past” could have caused this possible end of the world happening in “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

Bryan Singer’s Instagram photo also confirms that Havoc (Lucas Till) and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) are brothers in “X-Men: Apocalypse.” The director captioned the set photo with, “Parents of #ScottSummers #Cyclops and #AlexSummers #Havok.” The image shows them watching the end of the world “as they know it unfold on TV.” Singer also captioned the photo with the hash tags #XMEN, #XMenApocalypse and #3ALITYTechnica.
