Louis Tomlinson is back to the “X-Factor” five years after being a contestant himself on the show. But this time the One Direction star will be sharing his opinions on the remaining show hopefuls as he assists Simon Cowell as a house judge. Meanwhile, a “ghost” decides to pay the crew and contestants a visit while filming continues at the old castle of Chateau de Candes in Candes-Saint-Martin in France.

Set photos from the filming of “X-Factor” at the old castle in France’s Loire Valley shows Tomlinson and Cowell working together to decide which among the six contestants will remain as the three lucky contenders. One photo shared by Mirror UK shows the pair outside on the grounds of the huge estate probably giving their verdict.

Another picture shows Tomlinson and Cowell inside the great white house having a serious conversation and possibly exchanging opinions as they look at photos of each contestant. In another shot the “X-Factor” mogul looks as though he is having a hard time making the right decision in choosing the final three who will make it to the live shows.

While filming at the old castle continues ahead of the “X-Factor” live shows, a ghost reportedly shook up the set. Mirror UK reports that Cowell and Tomlinson were spooked as they too were in the huge property when the “ghost” decides to mess up with the cameras.

Contestant Anton Stephans was reportedly performing for the house judges when the “ghost” glided past behind him. The footage taken from the filming shared by Mirror UK shows a grey figure, who looks like an old man, passing outside by the window.

It’s reported the TV monitors flickered on and off as the said ghost passed by and a bolted window flew open. At the time, Cowell made light of the situation and jokingly said, “It’s a ghost.”

“I know it’s haunted. I saw it,” Simon said, according to Mirror UK.

Cowell’s girlfriend Lauren Silverman likewise acknowledged the “presence” and even “X-Factor” host Rochelle Humes was reportedly too scared that she had asked her make-up artist to sleep in the same room with her.

“Last year we had a Russian stay and he felt a definite presence. He said it was the spirit of a man and it was strong around the tower and what we call the arena. So it is true to say our place is haunted,” Monique Pignet, co-owner of the chateau had reportedly said in the same Mirror UK report.
