Cyrus Villanueva’s music career is beginning to take off with his debut single “Stone” landing the top spot in Australia’s Aria charts. The “X Factor Australia” winner is also set to release his first album and meet fans during his first performance lineup.

More than a week after Villanueva’s first song was released, “Stone” has already reached the number one spot in Aria’s Australian Artist Singles chart. The 19-year-old singer’s track even toppled “X Factor Australia” judge Guy Sebastian’s “Black and Blue” single, which is at the no. 3 spot.

Apart from “Stone,” two of Villanueva’s “X Factor Australia” song covers made it to Aria’s top 10 list. The Filipino-Australian singer’s rendition of “In the Air Tonight” landed at the 10th spot, while his cover of “X Factor Australia” mentor Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game” is at no. 6.

Villanueva’s debut single also surpassed Adele’s hit “Hello” in the Nov. 25 iTunes chart for Australia. His first song also debuted at the second spot on Australia’s iTunes list when it was launched after his “X Factor Australia” win on Nov. 24.

After winning this year’s “X Factor Australia,” Villanueva has been focused on finishing his first album. In a previous interview, he also shared how he plans to take things “one step at a time,” and he is already looking forward to having an exciting music career. “I can't wait for what the future holds,” he said.

Meanwhile, with Villanueva’s first album titled “Cyrus,” which is expected to be released in the next few days, the singer already has his first set of performances lined up. Villanueva took to Twitter on Friday to share signing and performance dates this December. He wrote, “Signing and performance dates for the next couple of weeks! Hope to see you there. #CYRUS.”

He added a snap of his “Stone” single cover, along with a list of the performance dates. His first is scheduled on Dec. 6 in Sydney’s Parklea Markets, followed by seven more appearances in various parts of Australia such as Melbourne and Brisbane. The last leg of his signing and performance shows will be on Dec. 21 at Westfield, Kotara.

Villanueva’s self-titled album “Cyrus” is set for release on Dec. 11.
