Will the next tablet from Apple sport a large display as big as laptops or about 12 inches? Reports from Foxconn, Apple's Taiwanese manufacturing plant, indicated the next iPad being tested now could have a screen between 11.4 inches and 12.9 inches in length, said Apple Insider.

The upcoming tablet is in advanced stage of testing to meet a spring launch in North America, PadNews said. The news appears to confirm a prediction in October by Barclays capital analyst Ben Reitzes that due to processor changes, Apple would have tablets the size of notebooks.

Besides forecasting the size of the new device, Mr Reitzes also stated that it could become the Cupertino-based tech giant's second-largest revenue driver after the popular iPhone series.

Apple's newest tablet release, the iPad Air and iPad Mini became available in U.S. stores on Nov 1. Weighing 469 g and with dimensions of 240 mm x 169.5 mm x 7.5 mm, the Wi-Fi-only Air is said to deliver more performance with less pork.

The lack of pork and smaller body makes the iPad Air the perfect bed companion because the user could hold the device comfortably with two hands for extended periods while browsing or reading in a prone position.
