The “Wentworth” season 5 release date was officially released recently. The fifth instalment of the show will come out on April 4. Two mini teasers give out the inevitable news of Bea Smith’s death.

The anticipation has grown as months have passed since the fourth season finale of the show. Many fans know that at the end of season four, Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) was stabbed to death by Joan “The Freak” Ferguson (Pamela Rabe). Although many fans were against Bea’s death, the fact can no longer be put aside as the official “Wentworth” Facebook page sent out two mini teasers. In both of these teasers, popular prisoners of the show create a sentence saying, “Revenge will set us free.” Many fans have said that this indicates the death of Bea Smith, and the prisoners will take revenge into their own hands. ‘Wentworth’ season 5 episode 1 spoilers

Many fans already know that Bea Smith is dead. However, there is no indication as to what will happen in the first episode of the fifth season. Many wonder if the first episode will finish right where season four finale left off or if they will do a time jump. According to the quick teasers sent out, “Wentworth” season 5 episode 1 will do a bit of a time jump. However, it will not be that long as it places Allie Novak (Kate Jenkinson) back in prison together with Joan.

Two other teaser videos were released by Foxtel, hinting Allie and the rest of the female prisoners in the Wentworth Correctional Facility will be taking revenge for the death of Bea. In the second teaser video released, Allie was shown holding black heavy chains while face-to-face with Joan. Behind Allie, the rest of Wentworth prisoners looked to be backing her up. Beyond this, the Showcase blog also released some information that may indicate what will happen in the first episode of the fifth season. The blog wrote out several questions that will be answered in the upcoming premiere of season five. This includes whether or not Joan will stay in prison for good, if Allie will get revenge for the death of Bea and who will be the next Top Dog. Other questions that were sent out were about Frankie and Bridget’s relationship, Maxine’s Baby and Liz and Sonia’s relationship. These will all apparently be answered in the fifth instalment of “Wentworth.”
