Teaser clip for “Wentworth” season 5 is here, giving fans an idea of who among the characters will be back for the fifth instalment. There was no sight of prison top dog and main protagonist, Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack). Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth, who was speculated to join the series, was a no-show too.

Last month, Foxtel had finally dropped the list of returning cast members that will be part of the series' season 5. While fans continue to hope that Bea will make an appearance, the Foxtel announcement indicates a different thing.

Moreover, the cast list does not include new cast members. It is contrary to what producer Jo Porter has assured fans with when she said that the death of Bea will pave the way for new characters.

Her statement had led to reports from several entertainment sites that new actors, Hemsworth in particular, will be joining the show. Porter, however, has not confirmed reports of the actor’s casting to be true.

As of this time, the list of cast posted in the Foxtel website seems to confirm that Hemsworth is not joining the series. While there are no recent reports of the actor doing a major project this year, he is reportedly planning to start a family with girlfriend, Miley Cyrus. A source revealed to OK! Magazine that the couple “have been having very serious conversations in the past few months about family.”

“While the shoes of Bea Smith will be hard to fill, with the start of season five the gates of Wentworth Correctional Facility will again open to a raft of potential new stories and characters,” she said as shared by News.com.au. Therefore, there’s a possibility that the season 5 cast list could be updated with the names of new actors in the future.

Nicole da Silva (Franky Doyle), Kate Atkinson (Vera Bennett) and Sigrid Thornton (Sonia Stevens), Celia Ireland (Liz Birdsworth), Katrina Milosevic (Sue "Boomer" Jenkins) and Shareena Clanton (Doreen Anderson) are all sure to return for season 5. Kate Jenkinson (Allie Novak) is also returning and is expected to seek revenge for the death of her lesbian lover.

Pamela Rabe (Joan Ferguson) is also sure to reprise her role when the series comes back. As the promo video teases, she will pay the price for killing Bea next season. “Wentworth” season 4 previously aired on SoHo. Season 5 premieres on April 4 at 8:30 p.m. EST on Showcase.
