“Wentworth” season 5 has been officially confirmed and the upcoming instalment brings excitement to loyal viewers of the show. One of the most popular talks about the drama series is the inclusion of Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth. Reports indicate that he will play a role of a tough prison warden next season.

Hemsworth’s inclusion in the show has not been officially confirmed by the people behind “Wentworth.” But Jo Porter, executive producer of the show, said the death of Danielle Cormack’s Bea Smith would allow new characters and plots.

This has led some fans to believe that new faces are coming in “Wentworth” season 5 and Hemsworth might be one of them. If the actor will be cast in the show, his inclusion is expected to benefit the series as the 26-year-old has already gained a huge fan base.

The actor is best known for his role as Josh Taylor in the soap opera “Neighbours.” He has also portrayed the role of Marcus on the children's television series, “The Elephant Princess.”

Hemsworth is not only famous in his home country but he also has fans in the United States. He starred in “The Last Song,” “The Hunger Games” film series and “Independence Day: Resurgence.”

Hemsworth is also recognised for his performances. He has won Young Hollywood Breakthrough of the Year award, Nickelodeon Australian Kids' Choice Awards Favorite Kiss and Teen Choice Awards Male Breakout for his performance in “The Last Song.”

The actor or his team has not yet commented about reports of his casting in “Wentworth” season 5. The only thing that Porter has confirmed about next season is that Smith is really dead.

In a statement, the executive producer has admitted that it is particularly tough to say goodbye to a well-loved character. One thing that makes it harder is saying goodbye to Cormack. “We will be forever indebted to Danielle for bringing Bea Smith to life in the first four seasons of Wentworth,” Porter said.

The series has been awarded an Astra Award for Most Outstanding Australian Drama. It also recently grabbed the Best Television Drama Series trophy from the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA).

The first season of the crime drama television series originally aired on SoHo in Australia. Fans will finally learn if Hemsworth is cast in the series when it returns for a brand new season. Official air date for “Wentworth” season 5 is yet to be announced.
