The FOX series debuted on May 25, 2015, based on the novels by Blake Crouch and consisting of 10 episodes . M. Night Shyamalan served as executive producer. According to Geeks of Doom, due to the clamor for a follow-up season, the show creators decided to feature a continuation of the bizarre events surrounding the strange Idaho town.

Jason Patric will star in the new season, together with Djimon Hounsou, Hope Davis, Melissa Leo, Carla Gugino, Charlie Tahan and Jason Higgins, among others.

Patric will play Dr. Theo Yedlin, a new resident of the town who awakens from suspended animation and discovers that he is in the middle of a rebellion. Wayward Pines is already controlled by the First Generation, headed by Tom Stevens (Higgins).

In “The End,” Davis was shown teaching her class of young students. There were also soldiers in the field, who appeared to be hunting, or being hunted, by Abbies.

The trailer, “Where Are We?” Yedlin was asking where they were. A woman answered that they were in Wayward Pines. Some of the cast members were also shown like Terrence Howard and DjimonHounsou.
