She is just 21 and already has a racy past behind her. She has been there and done that - multiple times. We are talking about American "X Factor" judge and singer Demi Lovato and her cocaine addiction. In a shocking new interview the 21-year old has admitted that there was once a time when she couldn't go longer than "30 minutes to an hour" without cocaine, and would even sneak it onto aeroplanes.

Demi, who has now been to rehab and has left her troubled past behind her, said that she was so badly addicted to cocaine that she would hide it from everyone all the time and do it in the bathroom.

"Something I've never talked about before - but with my drug use I could hide it to where I would sneak drugs. I couldn't go 30 minutes to an hour without cocaine and I would bring it on aeroplanes," said the former Disney actress to Access Hollywood in a candid interview.

"I would smuggle it basically and just wait until everyone in first class would go to sleep and I would do it right there. I'd sneak into the bathroom and I'd do it. That's how difficult it got and that was even with somebody [with me], I had a sober companion, somebody who was watching me 24/7 and living with me [and] was able to hide it from them as well," added the singer.

Demi admitted to manipulating people during that phase of her life and also called her cocaine addiction as a "disease" where she was forced to tell everyone lies.

"I'm very good at manipulating people and that was something that I did in my disease, I would manipulate everyone around me. There were times I would just continue to lie, so that everything looked OK on the outside," said Demi.

The "Heart Attack" songstress however was quick to realise that whatever she was going through wasn't good and that she needed to get over it to continue living peacefully. What prompted her to take the plunge of going to rehab? It was when she had started throwing up blood!

"It was, 'wow, I'm one of those people... I gotta get my s**t together'," revealed Demi.

"I had all the help in the world, but I didn't want it. When I hit that moment I was like, it's no longer fun when you're doing it alone. It got really difficult [and] I would throw up and it would just be blood and it was something that I realised if I don't stop this, I am going to die," trevealed the singer.

Demi's moving story could be a lesson for all the singers (read Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Justin Bieber) who are into drugs and have it for fun and adventure. Miley Cyrus has too been very open about her weed addiction and could not stop herself from puffing out even on stage during the recent MTV European Awards. Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga too are also fond of weed and cocaine.

Demi stopped at the right time and sought help but there are celebrities who lose their lives because of the cocaine addiction (read Amy Winehouse). It's brave of Demi to come forward and share her story. What do you think?
