After leaving fans of “The Walking Dead” in a cliffhanger with the fate of Glenn, played by actor Steven Yeun, AMC did it again. The network just released a teaser that suggests another fan favourite, Daryl, might be in serious trouble.

“The Walking Dead” season 6 put out a new teaser for the next episode. It seems that Daryl, played by Norman Reedus, is in dire jeopardy. E Online reported that in the preview, fans can see Daryl in an almost hopeless situation where the character is seen wet, dirty and no one to get in touch with. Despite his walkie-talkie, he could not contact Abraham and Sasha, thus running out of options to get help. After watching the clip, fans would certainly ask if his dirtier-than-usual and haggard appearance suggest that he has been either bitten or injured in some way.

Something bad happening to Daryl might be too much considering fans have been left wondering what happened to Glenn for two weeks now. It has been reported that after watching Glenn had fallen off a dumpster into a horde of zombies, fans still do not know if he is dead or if the guts they saw everywhere surrounding Glenn were even his.

Some of the fans are frustrated that AMC would actually leave them in such a confused state for so long, that they took to social media to air their misgivings, according to Wired. Following the airing of the latest episode titled “Now,” fans posted messages in Twitter to express how they hated being kept in the dark for so long. Some hashtags went viral, such as #GlennLives and #GlennAlive, as a result of their tirade. A poll was even created to ask whether AMC should tell the viewers whether Glenn is still alive or already dead. Some cannot believe they have to wait another week to know what happened, if AMC finally decides to give them an idea, that is.

Fans of Glenn can still hope that “The Walking Dead” character still lives. After all, Yeun has been spotted filming. Showrunner Scott Gimple even released a very telling statement on Glenn’s fate, stated The Hollywood Reporter.

"Dear fans of The Walking Dead," Gimple said in statement on Talking Dead after Glenn's last episode. "This is a hard story to tell, and when we were planning to tell it, we know our friends at The Walking Dead would be talking to you about it, and we knew we should say something about it, lest our silence say something we didn't mean to say or not say. So I'll say this: In some way, we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn, or parts of Glenn again, either in flashback, or in the current story, to help complete the story."

Season 6 of “The Walking Dead” airs every Sunday in the U.S. on AMC and Mondays in Australia on Foxtel’s FX.
