Some fans still can’t get over the shocking scene from episode 3 of “The Walking Dead” Season 6 where character Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) fell into a horde of walkers. It is still unclear whether the character died in that episode or if he managed to save himself from the zombies. Meanwhile, “The Walking Dead” actor Norman Reedus was also surprised with the story development.

Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon in “The Walking Dead,” told the Wall Street Journal that he also shared the same sentiment with fans of the AMC series when episode 3 was shown.

“I was in that episode,” he said. “And I watched that episode and I was like how could they do that! I had the same feeling, trust me.”

Speculations claim that Glenn’s death is real, as some fans noted that actor Yeun has been removed from “The Walking Dead’s” opening credits. Previous reports indicated that characters who met their demise in the AMC zombie series were usually removed from the show’s credits. However, some fans believe that it may be part of AMC’s ploy to prolong the suspense behind the character’s "demise."

Despite Glenn’s death in episode 3 of “The Walking Dead” Season 6, Reedus told the Wall Street Journal that introducing shocking developments in the series’ storyline is something that the show typically does.

“That’s our show,” he explained. “That’s what we do. We rip your guts out — literally.” Reedus, however, didn't confirm Glenn's death during his interview.

The actor even described how Season 6 of “The Walking Dead” has reached a “mature level of storytelling” and advised viewers to pay attention to “little tiny things” since these will “mean so much” later on.

“You really have to pay attention to everything. The acting is so on point, the directing is so on point. I feel like [showrunner] Scott [Gimple] is really leading the team to the Super Bowl," he said.

Meanwhile, new speculations surrounding “The Walking Dead” indicate that another major character may soon meet his death in the series. According to FanSided, the latest theory is that Reedus’ Daryl may be killed by the upcoming new villain Negan (Garret Dillahunt Been). The death, according to fan theory, may happen either in Season 6 or Season 7 of “The Walking Dead.”

Fans would have to tune into “The Walking Dead” to find out more about Glenn and Daryl’s story in the zombie apocalyptic series.

Season 6 of “The Walking Dead” airs every Sunday on AMC in the U.S. and Mondays in Australia at Foxtel’s FX.
