Verizon Wireless will start taking pre-orders of HTC 10 from April 29. On the same day, the carrier will also provide an exclusive hands-on preview of the handset for customers and media at its retail stores.

“Verizon will be the first wireless provider to offer the HTC 10 when it’s released, so you won’t have to wait to get it,” confirmed Verizon Wireless in a press statement.

Before the pre-order begins, customers can sign up for updates on Verizon’s official page. In the U.S., other than Verizon, HTC 10 will also be available on Sprint and T–Mobile.

Currently, the unlocked HTC 10 can only be purchased from the company’s official website at US$699 (AU$908). The unlocked edition, compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile is available in Glacier Silver and Carbon Gray colour options.

HTC Canada is also offering the unlocked version of the HTC 10 for 999 CAD (AU$1010). The unlocked variant of HTC 10 will support multiple Canadian carriers including Telus, Rogers, Bell, Koodo, Fido, Virgin Mobile, Wind Mobile, Videotron and Sasktel.

HTC announced its latest flagship through an online press event on April 12. The HTC 10 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2016 and will be shipped with top-of-the-line specs and features.

For those who are interested here’s a quick round up of HTC 10 specs. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch Super LCD5 display with screen resolution of 1440x2560 pixels.

The HTC 10 will come in two variants with different Qualcomm Snapdragon processors to cater for different market needs, confirmed HTC. In the U.S., the HTC 10 will come with the Snapdragon 820 processor with enhanced 4G LTE.

With Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow onboard, the HTC 10 comes in 32GB and 64GB storage options and 4GB of RAM.

HTC introduced OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) on both rear and front facing camera units. The 12-megapixel UltraPixel main camera is accompanied by a 5MP UltraSelfie front camera sensor.

HTC’s new flagship smartphone boasts 24-bit high resolution audio and features HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition dual speakers.
