There will be a new schedule for “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 and “The Originals” Season 3 when CW’s supernatural drama series returns from its winter break in January 2016. “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” fans are going to see their favorite characters on a new night because the CW Television Network has set the premiere dates of new TV series “Legends of Tomorrow” as well as the third season of “The 100.”

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 and “The Originals” Season 3 spoilers.

“The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” fans are going to see the supernatural creatures of Mystic Falls and New Orleans on Friday nights because DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” and “The 100” Season 3 will take the Thursday night slot of the CW Network. According to a Deadline report, “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 will air on Friday nights at 8/7c on the CW Network starting Jan. 29, 2016.

“The Originals” Season 3 will also return from the winter hiatus on Jan. 29, 2016 at 9/8c on the CW Network after “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7. Meanwhile, the series premiere of “Legends of Tomorrow” on the CW will be on Thursday night, Jan. 21, at 8/7c and “The 100” Season 3 premiere will air at 9/8c.

The vampire family drama of the Salvatores and Mikaelsons are expected to carry on when “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 and “The Originals” Season 3 returns from its winter break. At the moment, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) are busy dealing with the return of their Ripper mother Lily Salvatore (Annie Wersching), with her Heretics family and vampire lover Julian (Todd Lasance) in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7.

As for the Mikaelsons in “The Originals” Season 3, the Original family is currently dealing with the return of their first-sired vampires Lucien Castle (Andrew Lees), Aurora (Rebecca Breeds) and Tristan de Martel (Oliver Ackland), the brewing vampire sirelines war and the threat of the dire prophecy on their family.

“The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 will return with episode 8 titled “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me” on Thursday night, Dec. 3, at 8/7c on the CW Network. “The Originals” Season 3 will also return on Dec. 3 with episode 8 titled “The Other Girl in New Orleans” which will air at 9/8c.
