“The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 mid-season finale episode will be about retribution, a new friendship and challenge during the holiday season. The synopsis and promo video of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7, episode 9 titled “Cold as Ice” tease that something terrible will happen as Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) carry on with their plan to kill Julian (Todd Lasance).

“The Vampire Diaries” (TVD) viewers said goodbye to Stefan and Damon’s mother, Lily Salvatore (Annie Wersching), in the eighth episode titled “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me.” To prove that she can both choose her son Damon and Heretics family member Valerie Tulle (Elizabeth Blackmore), Lily staked her heart thinking that Julian will also die since a spell links them together.

However, Julian told Lily before taking off that they are already unlinked. The synopsis of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 mid-season finale episode in a Carter Matt report teases that Stefan and Damon are going to find Julian but their search will lead them to a small town just outside of Mystic Falls.

Even though Stefan and Damon have a common enemy in Julian, Stefan will once again be in conflict with Damon. The synopsis teased that Stefan, who is forced to take matters into his own hands, is going to set off a terrible chain of events that will change their lives forever.

The mid-season finale episode’s synopsis further teased that Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) will manage a holiday toy drive at Whitmore College where she asks Heretic Nora Hildegard (Scarlett Byrne) for help. Bonnie and Nora will also strike up an unlikely alliance in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7, episode 9.

As for the storyline on vampire Caroline Forbes’ pregnancy, Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) becomes worried that it is affecting Caroline (Candice King), who tries to do her best in navigating the new chapter in her life, more than she is letting on. “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 mid-season finale episode titled “Cold as Ice” is scheduled to air on Thursday night, Dec. 10, at 8/7c on the CW Network.
