'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: CW Network Reveals Titles For Episodes 12 And 13
The CW Network has revealed the titles for the upcoming episodes 12 and 13 of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. The latest season of the CW TV series kicked off with song titles as the episode titles and it looks like the theme will carry on in the second half of season 6.
Since "The Vampire Diaries" returned with season 6, the supernatural TV series has been using songs in the 1990's as episode titles like the premiere episode "I'll Remember," "Yellow Ledbetter" and "Black Hole Sun." According to a SpoilerTV report, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 12 is titled "Prayer for the Dying," a song by Seal, while episode 13 is titled "The Day I Tried to Live," a song by American rock band Soundgarden.
The mid-season finale episode titled "Christmas Through Your Eyes" broke the hearts of the TVD fans with the revelation on Sheriff Forbes' terminal illness. For "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 12 titled "Prayer for the Dying," a Carter Matt report suggests that the episode's focus will be on the devastating health condition of Caroline's (Candice Accola) mom, Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre).
According to "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 11 synopsis in a Movie Pilot report, Caroline will go to North Carolina with Stefan to find a cure for Sheriff Forbes' cancer after taking her mom home from the hospital. In an Alloy Entertainment interview, executive producer Caroline Dries teased that the storyline of using vampire blood to cure Sheriff Forbes will be explored in the upcoming episodes.
"We know that the obvious thing to do would be to cure Liz with vampire blood, so that's what we're going to do in TVD [6×11]," Dries shared. The executive producer further added that the TVD characters will be making the use of vampire blood on Sheriff Forbes as an option and they will discuss the pros and cons of healing Caroline's mom through the supernatural way.
However, Caroline Dries revealed that the TVD characters are going to have different opinions when it comes to curing Sheriff Forbes with vampire blood. Aside from Sheriff Forbes' glioblastoma and the vampire blood mythology, the other storylines expected to play out in the second half of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 include Kai's (Chris Wood) twin merge plan, Enzo's (Michael Malarkey) plan to destroy Stefan's (Paul Wesley) life, Bonnie's return to the present time, Stefan's secret about Sarah Salvatore and the Stefan-Caroline or "Steroline" relationship.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 returns with episode 11 titled "Woke Up With a Monster" on Jan. 22, 2015 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
