Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has booted off quite a number of aspiring chefs on his shows “MasterChef US” and “Hell’s Kitchen.” This time, however, he's the one caught red-faced for being thrown out.

The 49-year-old chef admitted that he was “kicked out” of his youngest daughter Matilda’s event -- parents evening -- when he asked for a seemingly innocent favour from the school’s headmaster. Worse, he’s banned from ever attending one. He revealed to Vegas magazine, “I asked the headmaster for a selfie, after which I got kicked out, and so I really f---ked that one up!” He said that the following day, he received an e-mail saying, “Can you please refrain from the next parents’ evening – we do not need the presence of Mr Ramsay.”

It’s too bad for Gordon, since he’s missed a lot of school events like that before. Apart from 14-year-old Matilda, or Tilly, he has three more kids with wife Tana: Megan,17, and twins Holly and Jack, 16. Gordon is currently promoting his brand new British-style restaurant in Las Vegas, called Fish & Chips. He confessed his new endeavor is a bit of nostalgia, reminding him of his favourite fare in UK. “Going down to the local chippy on the corner and picking up the fish and chips with the little extra batter bits, the scraps we call them, was a dream,” he shared. “To have that now on the Linq in Vegas is sort of the icing on the cake for me.”

With his line of restaurants and TV shows, Gordon says he’s not ready to stop. “I’ve found the balance in terms of family, profession, and then this sort of empire size,” he said. “I have seen so many chefs fall to the wayside because they got wrapped up in the glamour of fame and adulation—it’s gone to their head and they are turning out a pile of shit behind the scenes. That would be the death of me—I couldn’t live with myself on that one.”

One of his popular shows, “MasterChef US,” just wrapped up Season 7 with Las Vegas DJ Shaun O’Neale as the winner .
