Trey Songz Pays Tribute To ‘Babygirl’ Stephanie Moseley, Does Not Comment On Alleged Affair

Trey Songz, accused of having an affair with Stephanie Moseley, paid tribute to the Canadian actress after her murder. Rapper Earl Hayes killed his wife over her alleged affair with Songz.

The initial investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department revealed that the 34-year-old rapper shot his wife to death. He took his own life after that. Both Hayes and his 30-year-old wife were pronounced dead at the scene by the LAPD paramedics who had responded to the scene. US Weekly reported that Songz had expressed himself on Twitter after Moseley's death. He referred to the actress as "babygirl" and said that she was an angel on earth. "R.I.P babygirl. Once an angel on earth, now watching over us from Heaven. You'll b missed but never forgotten. Love," he posted.

Songz, however, did not address the report that he was allegedly involved with Moseley. While Hayes accused his wife of cheating on him for Songz, there no confirmation yet if it was true. U.S. boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., who reportedly witnessed the suicide-murder on Apple FaceTime, said that the rapper was not happy with his wife. Hayes apparently video-called his boxer friend just before killing his wife. While Mayweather advised Hayes against doing it, the rapper went on to murder Moseley anyway. Mayweather confirmed that he had "heard everything."

The LAPD said that it would like to interview Mayweather to know what he had witnessed. Det. Scott Masterson said that the department was in the process of setting up an interview with the boxer. "We haven't spoken with him yet. We're trying to set something up," NY Daily News quoted Masterson. Mayweather apparently advised Hayes to "dump" his wife and focus on his singing career. Police said that officers were still trying to find out what exactly had prompted Hayes to take such an extreme step. Masterson said that the officers were working off information that the couple had been married, got estranged and recently came back together to work on their relationship. Masterson also said that the crime scene had blood evidence, which was even found in the apartment below the one the couple stayed in.
