FC Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi never hid his desire to stay at the Nou Camp until he plays his final competitive match in club football, but it seems that Barca's inability to find a leader that can lead them back to glory is getting to the Argentine.

The diminutive Argentinean isn't quite the demigod that we came to know in recent years anymore, and such is aggravated by the fact that he is, from time to time, being deployed in his old spot on the flanks, which is seen as a significant factor to his reduced goal tally this season.

Such developments have seemingly sucked the joy out of the 27-year-old, which might cause him to wear a different shirt in the near future.

"I'm just living in the present," Messi told Ole.

"I'm thinking about having a great year at Barcelona and about winning the titles we want to win at Barcelona. Nothing more."

"After that, we'll see. Football has a lot of twists and turns. I always said that I'd like to stay there forever, but things don't always work out as you want them to."

"I have said it many times, if it were up to me, I would stay forever."
