The Hulk will play a bigger role outside the earth, as he goes on a cosmic journey with Thor in “Thor: Ragnarok,” the third installment of Marvel's “Thor” franchise.

In “Civil War," almost all the mightiest superheroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe are making an appearance, except for Thor and Hulk. BMD has now confirmed that the duo will embark on an adventure in “Thor: Ragnarok,” and they will likely meet a Valkyrie in the film.

Valkyrie is the leader of Asguardian group Valkarior. She is depicted as an Asguardian armoured goddess who chooses the worthy among the slain warriors to take them to Valhalla.

Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk is set to join the cast that includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Jaime Alexander as Sif, according to JoBlo. The film will be shot in Australia.; however, the production dates have not yet been announced.

Meanwhile, a comedy director Taika Waititi has been roped in to even out the dark tone of “Thor 3” -- the script written by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle is said to be grim. Waititi is best known for his comedy films like "What We Do in the Shadows" and "Eagle vs Shark."

"We plan on taking ‘Thor’ to another level. It picks up where we leave ‘Thor’ in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' and impacts everything that comes after," Marve president Kevin Feige said in a press release.

"Thor: Ragnarok" opens on Nov. 3, 2017.
