“Thor: Ragnarok” is one of the most anticipated Marvel films under Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or MCU. However, not much is known about the sequel except that Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as Thor. Apparently, Tom Hiddleston also does not have any idea if he will return as Loki.

Hiddleston has been doing some press rounds for his new film with Guillermo del Torro, “Crimson Peak,” when Comingsoon.net caught up with him to talk about “Thor: Ragnarok.” When asked about his return to portray the Asgardian God of Mischief Loki, Hiddleston revealed that he really has no idea where Loki will be headed next in the MCU.

“You know, I don’t know. I think I won’t be able to help it if I ever play him again, and I just don’t know when that’s gonna happen, if that’s gonna happen. I would never lose his dimension, but it’s so interesting,” he said.

Tom revealed that he’s talked with “Thor” star Chris Hemsworth about the film and how its characters have changed since the first film. The actor remains uncertain about Loki’s future since that first film happened five years ago.

“That’s a long time ago. So who knows what I’ll be cooking up!” he told Comingsoon.net.

However, according to Cinema Blend Loki deserves to return to “Thor: Ragnarok” because of his parting scene in “Thor: The Dark World.” The villain Asgardian ruler is clearly not dead as Thor had thought. Instead, in the 2013 film he was seen using his power to take the shape and face of his adopted father, Odin. The film ends with Loki taking over the throne from Odin (Anthony Hopkins).

While Hiddleston is uncertain of Loki’s presence in “Thor: Ragnarok,” Fandral on the other hand has been tapped to return. However, this time it would not be Josh Dallas who will be playing the character but Zachary Levi.

In an interview with We Got This Covered, Levi revealed that he got a call from Kevin Feige telling him to portray Fandral, a role which was initially offered to him in 2011. However, the “Chuck” star said he still has very little knowledge about his character’s involvement in “Thor: Ragnarok.”
