The synopsis of “Teen Wolf” Season 5, episode 11 titled “The Last Chimera” teases that the turmoil in the first half of MTV’s supernatural series will continue. The new episode’s storyline will be focusing on the condition of Sheriff Stilinski (Linden Ashby) following Theo Raeken’s attack and whether the Scott-Stiles friendship will be fixed or the two will continue to fall apart.

According to the new “Teen Wolf” Season 5B episode’s synopsis in Zap2it’s TV Listings, a mysterious infection is killing Stiles’ dad, the sheriff of Beacon Hills. The synopsis further teased that Stiles Stilinski (Dyla O’Brien) and Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) will put aside their differences first and work together in finding out what is behind Sheriff Stilinski’s infection.

The first part of “Teen Wolf” Season 5 showed that Scott and Stiles’ friendship got damaged because of Stiles’ secret and Theo Raeken (Cody Christian) played a part in deepening the rift between the best friends. Stiles killed a chimera named Donovan (Ashton Moio) in self-defense and he kept it a secret from Scott.

The promo video “Teen Wolf” Season 5B shown at the 2015 New York Comic Con (NYCC) teased that the Scott-Stiles conflict will escalate following their first verbal confrontation. In “Teen Wolf” Season 5, episode 9 titled “Lies of Omission,” Scott and Stiles argued over the fact that Stiles killed Donovan while at the animal clinic.

In the “Teen Wolf” Season 5B video trailer, Stiles is seen asking Scott where he was before attacking him. “Teen Wolf” cast member Tyler Posey claimed during the NYCC panel that the confrontation scene teased in the trailer is the peak of the Scott-Stiles conflict.

Meanwhile, Variety reports that MTV will no longer have the traditional New Year’s Eve countdown special because the network has decided on airing marathons and a “Teen Wolf” teaser. The report further revealed that MTV is going to air a marathon of the network’s Internet video clip show titled “Ridiculousness” until midnight on Thursday, Dec. 31.

Then, MTV will show a six-minute teaser from the “Teen Wolf “Season 5B premiere episode as 2016 kicks off. “Teen Wolf” Season 5B is scheduled to premiere on Jan. 5, 2015 at 9/8c on MTV.
