Good news, “Teen Wolf” fans! For those who have been hoping Crystal Reed will return in the MTV series, an exclusive spoiler report on “Teen Wolf” Season 5B has confirmed that an upcoming episode will feature the 30-year-old actress as a new character through flashback scenes.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains major “Teen Wolf” Season 5 spoilers.

Reed has revealed in an interview with BuzzFeed how “Teen Wolf” series creator Jeff Davis convinced her to make a guest appearance in an upcoming episode of “Teen Wolf” Season 5B. Initially, Reed had been hesitant to make an appearance in “Teen Wolf” because she felt like bringing Allison Argent back may put a stain to the “amazing end” of the “Teen Wolf” character’s life but a phone conversation with Davis convinced her to return.

“Basically, Jeff just said, ‘France in the 1700s,’ and I was in,” Reed told BuzzFeed News via phone interview.

Reed is set to make a guest appearance in the Feb. 23 episode of “Teen Wolf” Season 5B titled “The Maid of Gévaudan” as Marie-Jeanne Valet, the ancestor of the Argent family line. According to Hidden Remote, Davis teased at the 2015 New York Comic Con (NYCC) Q&A panel that there will be a huge flashback episode in “Teen Wolf” Season 5, episode 18 taking place in France.

BuzzFeed further revealed that Davis created the storyline to allow Reed’s return in “Teen Wolf” and give Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and his pack some information on how to defeat the new threat in Beacon Hills called “The Beast of Gévaudan” through Allison’s grandfather, Gerard Argent (Michael Hogan). The second arc’s bulky villain is a supernatural creature that Marie-Jeanne Valet faced back in 1765.

Reed also shared the exciting news about her return in “Teen Wolf” to her followers on Twitter. Reed’s post on her Twitter account @CrystalmReed includes an exclusive look at her new character in the MTV series.

“She was a peasant girl who had fashioned a bayonet onto a spear and was supposedly one of the first to survive an attack by the beast,” Davis shared to BuzzFeed News in a phone interview.

Davis further teased that the “Teen Wolf” fans will once again see Reed wielding her signature weapon in the show, which is a crossbow. Reed is also excited for the fans to meet Marie-Jeanne Valet because she made sure that her old and new “Teen Wolf” character has some similarities, such as having pure kindness and the bravery to fight for justice and what is right, since the two ladies are related.

“Teen Wolf” Season 5B airs on Tuesday nights at 9/8c on MTV. A brand new episode titled “Damnatio Memoriae” is scheduled to air on Jan. 12.
