“Teen Wolf” could have a different actor taking on the lead role beyond the sixth season of the MTV series. Series creator Jeff Davis has talked about the future of hit MTV series “Teen Wolf” in an interview as well as some teasers in the upcoming “Teen Wolf” Season 5B.

Davis admitted in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR) that he has no idea if “Teen Wolf” will most likely wrap up after season 6. “Who knows if [that] will be the last season or not,” Davis told THR.

However, Davis revealed that he would love someone else to take over “Teen Wolf” if the supernatural show goes beyond season 6. “If it still has life, if there's still stories to tell, that would be great,” Davis explained.

Davis further added that it would be interesting to see Dylan Sprayberry, who portrays Beta werewolf Liam Dunbar, become the new Teen Wolf just like how Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) embraced the role in the pilot season. As for the True Alpha werewolf, Davis shared that the fans could see Scott McCall become more of a Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) beyond “Teen Wolf” Season 6.

“I thought season five was going to be the last season of Teen Wolf, so we were planning on going out pretty big. We're still planning on going out big — it's just now we're going to get another season,” Davis said in the THR interview.

“Teen Wolf” Season 5 is set to return with the second half episodes in January 2016. Davis teased that the road for Scott and his pack will be rocky as they continue to deal with their enemies, Theo Raeken (Cody Christian), the Dread Doctors and the Desert Wolf (Marisol Nichols).

“Theo played them all and pitted them against each other, so they’ve got to get past the underlying resentment and forgive each other and it’s going to take more than one episode,” Davis said in an Entertainment Weekly (EW) interview. Davis also describes “Teen Wolf” Season 5B as a season of resurrection because of Scott’s return from the dead and Scott’s mission of bringing his pack back from the dead as well.
