Now gearing up for “Empire’s” Season 2, lead actress Taraji P. Henson is setting the record straight on why she hates her TV show character Cookie Lyon. On her latest interview with “Seth Meyers on Late Night,” the fast talking actress admitted that Cookie is like her alter ego when she was asked by Meyers if her role has already crept into her.

“No, I hate that b----,” she told the host when she was asked if she ever used the character in her real life. “She's stolen my identity! No one ever calls me by my name anymore. They call me 'Cookie.'"

Henson also admitted that being Cookie also have its perks, as she can easily get anyone’s attention especially on getting a table in a busy restaurant. Which is totally true because nobody wants to mess up with Cookie. Just like Meyers who inadvertently coined a new “Nobody puts Baby in a corner” by saying “Nobody wants trouble with Cookie in a restaurant.”

Now a bona fide smash hit, “Empire” Season 2 is still a mystery for most fans as there is no premiere date yet for the show’s sophomore season. When asked about the show’s massive success, the 44-year-old “Person of Interest” star told Meyers that she knew Fox has a hit after the show’s second episode ratings topped its premiere episode.

The show’s finale garnered 27 million viewers, according to Henson, and owe the show’s success to everyone who supported the breakout-hit drama from the very beginning.

Henson also revealed during that launch of Summer Sizzle BVI 2015 that she wants to what happened to Cookie on the 17 years that she was locked up. “Empire” Season 1 already featured a lot of flashbacks with the Lyon’s family life but not about Cookie who suffered most of her married life inside the jail.

Meanwhile, “Empire” Season 2 is rumoured to feature big guest stars including Denzel Washington, Oprah Winfrey and Common. Already had a role for Washington, Henson told E! News that hopes that the “Magnificent Seven” star will play her dad who had so many children with different women. But the decision still remains with showrunner Lee Daniels (“The Butler) on how he will utilize the actor if Washington decides to star in the TV show.
