The second half of “Supergirl” season 2 will see a “Lois & Clark” reunion. Dean Cain (Jeremiah), who played the titular role on “Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” is already part of the series as the adoptive father of Kara (Melissa Benoist). Now Teri Hatcher, who portrayed Cain’s leading lady in the said film, is joining the show too.

Surely, a reunion between Cain and Hatcher is on the cards. The latter has just been introduced in “Supergirl” season as a villain. Although their roles are not romantically associated with each other, not even friends, fans can look forward to see Cain and Hatcher’s characters cross paths.

Producers of the series have already confirmed that their characters will cross paths. “We'd love to. They would love to. Yeah, I mean, there's a plan,” series boss Andrew Kreisberg told TV Guide.

Kreisberg said Hatcher knows that she is in this for the fans. The actress is definitely aware of what being part of the show really means to several viewers. “So they're both really excited to give back,” he added.

The series boss teased fans saying the role of Hatcher will be not like any other that viewers have already seen before. “She is so not playing Lois [Lane] and she is so not playing any character I've ever seen her play before,” Kreisberg enthused.

He has not provided details about how the two will meet, but it is likely that the scene is not going to be romantic. “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Andromeda” actor Kevin Sorbo has been cast for the film too and he is going to be the romantic partner of Hatcher’s character in the series. Their roles are enemies of Supergirl.

In the classic '90s series “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” Hatcher portrayed Lois opposite Cain's Superman/Clark Kent. It would be exciting to see the two actors sharing the screen again, this time in the sophomore run of “Supergirl.” Kreisberg, however, was mum about which particular episode the two will be seen together.

The series also stars Mehcad Brooks (Jimmy Olsen), Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers), Jeremy Jordan (Winslow "Winn" Schott), David Harewood (Hank Henshaw), Floriana Lima (Maggie Sawyer) and Chris Wood (Mon-El) among others. Fans will get to see more of Cain and Hatcher’s characters in the the remaining episodes of “Supergirl” season 2. The show airs in Australia on Fox8 every Tuesday at 9:10 a.m.
