"The Strain" series, starring Corey Stoll as Dr. Ephraim "Eph" Goodweather, Kevin Durand as Vasiliy Fet, Angel Parker as Alex Green, Ruta Gedmintas as Dutch Velders and Rupert Penry-Jones as Mr. Quinlan, will have an upcoming episode titled "Belly of the Beast," which will air in Australia on Aug. 21. It will also air in the US on Aug. 13. It will show Alex and Eph looking for more clues about the Master's grand plan for the humans.

Spoiler alert: This article contains more 'The Strain' spoilers. Read on only if you want to know more about what happens in 'Belly of the Beast.'

According to a press release from FX, "The Strain" season 4, episode 5 will also feature Quinland and Fet trailing a convoy carrying their nuclear weapon. Meanwhile, Dutch will come across an old friend in an unexpected blast from the past. She will also get trapped by an old enemy. Norberto Barba directed the episode which was written by Jeff Wadlow.

'Belly of the Beast' stars

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) lists the following actors and actresses as guest stars in this episode: Brian Hamman as Coffer, Anthony Grant Lake as a Strigoi, Katie Messina as Flores, Tonya Pinkins as Francis and Gugun Deep Singh as Pinsky. They will be joined by other "The Strain" cast members including David Bradley as Abraham Setrakian, Jonathan Hyde as Eldritch Palmer, Natalie Brown as Kelly Goodweather, Richard Sammel as Thomas Eichhorst, Max Charles as Zach Goodweather, Miguel Gomez as Augustin "Gus" Elizalde, Jamie Hector as Alonso Creem and KC Collins as Roman.

'The Strain' episodes: 'New Horizons,' 'Tainted Love' and 'Ouroboros'

The episode prior to "Belly of the Beast" was "The Strain" TV series season 4, episode 4 titled "New Horizons," which aired in the US on Aug. 6. It featured Eichhorst ordering Desai (Cas Anvar) to shorten the pregnancies of the women to six months in order to produce more babies, with a rate of two infants per year as their goal. Dutch is forced by Desai to coach the women when they deliver the babies. She also planned to steal a key card from one of the employees in the facility in order to escape. Eventually, she attacked Desai and took his key card. While trying to escape, she came across an area in the birth center where humans are being drained of their blood.

Meanwhile, Eph was forced to shoot Jason, who happens to be Alex's brother, because he got infected. Eph also revealed to Alex his part in the "Illumination Day" and how Zack is also in on it. He also found out that the Strigoi are using trains as transportation for the human volunteers. They are pretending to recruit farm workers. "New Horizons" was directed by Kevin Dowling and written by Mickey Fisher.

"The Strain" airs in Australia on Mondays at 9.30 pm on Fox 8. It airs in the US on Sundays at 10-11 pm EST on FX. The next episodes after "Belly of the Beast" are "Tainted Love" (air date: Aug. 20) and "Ouroboros" (Aug. 27).
