EA’s “Star Wars Battlefront” is one of the best looking games for current gen consoles. However, fans have commented that it lacks the massive number of content that its predecessor had. The developer has said before that the game will receive several DLC content in the future and now, it has shut down any rumours regarding any add-ons based on the recently released “Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens.”

“Star Wars VII: The ForceAwakens” is a huge box-office success and fans believe that it would be fitting to see some content in the movie in “Star Wars Battlefront.” However, EA responded to one tweet by saying that it is currently focusing on content from the original trilogy for “Star Wars Battlefront.”

It seems that the closest fans will get to any “Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens” content is with the Battle of Jakku DLC, which adds one of the planets found in the film to the game. As for any new characters, the Battle of Jakku DLC did not see the addition of Rey, Finn or Kylo Ren for that matter. In fact, in the Battle of Jakku DLC, the story is set short after the end of the original trilogy.

“Star Wars Battlefront II” is the predecessor of EA’s “Star Wars Battlefront.” The two games vary greatly in terms of content as “Star Wars Battlefront II” had content from all of the six movies. It features a ton of maps, as well as massive roster of heroes for use in the different game modes including the very popular Heroes Vs. Villains battle.

As of now, “Star Wars Battlefront” features only a handful of maps. As for hero units, they include Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and Han Solo for the heroes; Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader and Boba Fett for the villlains.
