“Star Wars Battlefront” was launch last Nov. 17 for current gen consoles including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and even the PC. Since then, players have logged in to their accounts and have been in countless battles against other players through the game’s different modes. A new report show that one console is way in the lead against the other platforms in terms of player count.

A website not managed by either “Star Wars Battlefront” developer DICE and publisher EA has been keeping track of several statistics for the online competitive multiplayer shooter since its release last week. The third-party website aptly named Star Wars Battlefront Statistics developed by Player Stats Network has been keeping track of the total player count for the game across the three platforms it is available in.

All in all, the game has a peak of more than 300,000 plus players on a 24 hour period. Out of these 89,000 players, at least 48,000 are from the PC version of the game while the other 104,000 are Xbox One players. It seems that the PlayStation 4 is making a lot of profit with the game as over 180,000 players are playing the game on a 24 hour period.

The figures could be attributed to a lot of areas. Currently, the PlayStation 4 is the leading consoles in terms of unit sales. This could be a factor in the PlayStation 4’s lead. Aside from that, EA has also released a special “Star Wars Battlefront” edition PlayStation 4.

The developer of the website took to NeoGAF to explain that the numbers are solid and directly pulled from the game’s servers. “Star Wars Battlefront” isn’t the first project of Player Stats Network as it has worked on “Need For Speed” and “Battlefield” in the past. “Battlefield” is also a work of DICE and EA.
