Producers are yet to announce an exact release date for “Star Wars: Rebels” season 4, but they have confirmed that the animation series will be returning one last time this fall. Here’s what is known so far about the TV series.

Apart from the main characters in the Ghost Crew, fans will also get to see the return of Saw Gerrera (voiced by Forest Whitaker) and Mon Mothma (voiced by Genevieve O’Reilly). The other big character making a comeback is Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein).

The plot should ideally connect to “Rogue One” towards the end. In the meantime, there will be a lot of action and individual character arcs to look forward to.

The trailer of the TV series teased exciting scenes on the show this year. The first thing the fans of the franchise will probably notice and get excited about is the fact that the X-wings will finally make an appearance on the show. The trademark ships of the Rebel Alliance are a highly recognisable element in the fight against the Empire, but they have so far not been seen in the animation series.

A shot of Sabine (Tiya Sircar) slashing the Speeder of a Stormtrooper shows how adept she has become with the Darksaber. In fact, most of the scenes involving this character show her wielding the weapon created by the first Mandalorian to join the Jedi Order.

There could be some changes coming in terms of the “costumes” the characters wear. Hera’s (Vanessa Marshall) new red pilot suit was teased in the trailer. Kallus (David Oyelowo) also gets a whole new look after switching sides. Finally, season 4 will take the Rebels to an all-too familiar base at Yavin 4!
