Some spoilers for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” have circulated online again ahead of its Dec. 18 release. This time, some supposed scenes from the film prove Rey also has Jedi powers, as she reportedly uses it to save her and Finn from being captured by the enemy.

Jason Ward from Making Star Wars has shared a spoiler-rich report of sequences for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” involving Rey (Daisy Ridley) as she tries to escape from the Imperial soldiers. At some point in the film, Rey will be captured by the Stormtroopers and will be placed in a dungeon somewhere in the “First Order Castle.”

However, it would reportedly not take long before Rey escapes from her captors. She manages to use some “special skills” to lure the Stormtroopers away from watching her. According to Ward, in this sequence it seems that Rey may have used the Jedi Mind Trick to convince the Stormtroopers to abandon their post. “This is one of the first moments in the film where we see that she probably has supernatural 'Jedi” powers,'" he said.

In “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Rey is rumoured to be Han Solo and Princess Leia’s daughter and brother to the villain Sith Kylo Ren ( Adam Driver). Rey is said to be “scared of being a part of the force family.” Thus, according to Making Star Wars, she refuses to be guided by her uncle Luke Skywalker into becoming a Jedi.

However, at one point in the film Poe supposedly catches her practicing her Jedi Mind Trick but decided against telling anyone about it. One scene in the film would reportedly show Rey using her Jedi powers to move some things in her junk shop.

Kylo Ren, on the other hand, hungers to learn more about his Jedi powers. Unlike Rey, Ren is said to be obsessed with his Jedi lineage for years. Ward described the “twisted” main villain in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” as somewhat of a “historian with a fascination with the Sith.” He is estranged from his family and cares little for them. According to a source, there is “bad blood” between them.
