The first official trailer of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” showed Daisy Ridley as the character Rey, riding a speeder. The new speeder in the trailer is different in design, compared to the speeders that featured in the original trilogy. A report claims to have found a similar design in the online video game by the franchise.

Fans of the franchise may be familiar with the online game “Star Wars: The Old Republic.” According to a report by MakingStarWars, data for a patch of the game on a test server contains speeder designs that are very similar to Rey’s speeder in the trailer.

The discovery was made by a fan with the Twitter handle Swtor Miner. Images of the speeder have been posted on the Twitter page of the user. Fans of the franchise were excited to see the speeder design images from the video game. The fans wanted to know whether the new lightsaber design can also be found in the game.

The “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer shows a hooded figure carrying a lightsaber with two additional beams at the hilt. One of the fans suggested that the new lightsaber may belong to the Emperor in the video game and may be found in one of the operations.

“Star Wars: The Old Republic” allows players to choose a character from both the Empire as well as the Galactic Republic’s side. Each character has a distinct storyline, but the players will have to coordinate with other players in some of the missions, like Heroics and Flash Points, in order to win.

Players in the game can choose from a Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent on the Empire’s side. The characters from the Galactic Republic’s side include Trooper, Smuggler, Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular.

The producers have so far not confirmed that the video game is Canon. Fans will however be excited to see any similarities in the game and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The characters appearing in the game may not appear in the movie, because the timeline in the video game has been set many years before the events of the movies.
