There may be more twists and turns in “Star Wars: Episode 9.” The cast members are yet to read the script of the upcoming film, but Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux) is looking forward to some good comedy scenes.

The comedic scenes of General Hux in “The Last Jedi” was “unexpected,” Gleeson said in an interview with Radio Times. The surprising way in which the character’s humour unfolded on screen was “brilliant,” the actor said. Moving forward, he expects the same “unexpected” scenes from J.J. Abrams as well.

Gleeson isn’t on the list of confirmed actors returning in the final film of the new trilogy, and the actor is acutely aware of this fact. He said he has no idea what’s in store for him because he hasn’t read the scripts yet. However, he added that if he is part of the next film, he hopes he can do more comedy scenes.

Whether or not Gleeson gets to do any comedy, the actor is confident about doing something “exciting,” since Abrams will be writing the script. Abrams was at the helm of “The Force Awakens,” which won plenty of fans over.

Even Daisy Ridley (Rey) doesn’t know anything about the next film. The actress pointed out that by the time the first came out, they were diving into the production of the sequel. This time, however, Ridley has about six months to think about where the story is going and how her character fares, she explained.

Production is set to begin for “Star Wars: Episode 9.” The film is expected to be released on Dec. 20, 2019 in the US, with no exact date given for Australian cinemas.
