A big revelation in “Star Wars: Episode 8” will be focused on Luke Skywalker. It was revealed in “The Force Awakens” that the Jedi Master had been missing for a number of years, and the Resistance forces were trying to locate him. The character was finally seen on the planet Ahch-To, but it is not known why he is there and what he is doing.

[Spoiler alert]

A new theory posted on the YouTube channel Mike Zeroh looks at the possible reason why Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) is staying on the planet Ahch-To while the First Order has risen to take the Empire’s place as the new force of evil in the galaxy.

Mike says that there are two possible reasons for Luke to be on that planet. He is either guarding something or hiding from the First Order, more specifically from Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).

According to Mike’s theory, Luke is guarding something on Ahch-To. He believes that “Star Wars: Episode 8” will introduce an important Jedi holocron as the object that the Jedi Master is guarding. It should be noted that Han Solo (Harrison Ford) said in “The Force Awakens” that there were rumours about Luke going in search of the first Jedi temple.

Mike believes that thousands of years ago, a wise group of Jedi Masters foresaw how Luke will reach Ahch-To. So, they hid a holocron on the planet for him to find. The old Jedi may be concerned about the evil forces finding and attempting to use or destroy the holocron.

Is Luke Skywalker guarding a holocron at the first Jedi temple? Mike points out that holocrons have made an appearance in the TV series “Star Wars Rebels.” Will they now appear in “Star Wars: Episode 8”?
